noob excursion question

i had a ported box built (32hz @ 4.3 cu gross) using the same chamber for my subwoofers. i noticed that the sub further away from the port would have more excursion/flexing/etc than the sub closer to the port. is this a common issue or did one of my woofers just sh!t itself?

it wasnt like this when i had them in a sealed box. i never smelled any kind of smoke or seen anything comming out the trunk ever since i got this box.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

i checked all connections and everything was wired fine (speakers in paralell).

it wasnt a huge difference; the sub further away from the port would have about a .5" more flex on loud bass notes.

ill try and get a video up.

Almost 100% sure one is out of phase. Notice how the excursion is almost EXACTLY opposite on that last note where you can see both moving separately.

to check the phase you have to take the subs out and check your wires. not the phase setting on the amp. its very noticeable difference that one sub is excurting way more then the other. if they are in phase then it could be that you have one sub that the spider is already worn out and is ready to go.

are both subs runing of off the same amp?
