Noob didn't quite get it in the 101

With aero ported enclosures why do you want to have the port on the side vice front facing the same as the woofer? Someone told me that it had to be side facing

Subs/ port up... sub up/port back... sub front/port side...sub back/port side...sub/port front... sub/port back... lotsa configurations... it's all vehicle/ install/goal dependent... experience counts when deciding on one.
