Hey guys,
I just picked up a 2003 Lexus GX470 with NAV. The problem is that it doesn't have a good auxiliary option for Bluetooth / Hands free. I work from the car most of the day and really need this feature.
So I search the internet and found a youtube video that describes exactly what I need to have done.
By taking the existing single din radio which controls the power to the touch screen NAV unit. The Air controls are integrated into the NAV screen and are not accessible any other way so I have to keep the stock unit...
My thought was to replace the Single din with an aftermarket and place the stock single din in the glove box where the 6 disk currently resides.
In the utube video the guy says that he "overlays" the system. I am not sure what that means but wanted to see if anyone else has bypassed a stock stereo to run an after market one.
I will post the video if requested but didnt know if that was allowed. Thank you in advance.
NOOBS!!!!! Sorry for the stupid questions.
Travis
