Ladie's like my pole
so I was bored and got to brain storming about random ish. DD makes an amp that has non-symmetrical outputs. I was wondering if multi channel amps are capable of running at two different ohm loads to achieve the same affect.
For instance, take a 4-channel amp that is lets say rated at 75 rms @ 4ohm and 150rms @ 2 ohms per channel. In an active situation you run the front channels (tweeters) at 4 ohms achieving your 75rms then run the rear channels (woofers) at 2 ohms achieving 150rms.
Is this possible or would it cause major problems?
Also if someone wants to donate an amp I would be happy to experiment over christmas break..
