Noisy *** neighbors?

man up and tell them to shut up.....and be quiet.........dont go by quiet time, just by when you need to sleep.

if it doesnt work, fight fire w fire and randomly be really loud

my neighbors would thoroughly regret being loud in the middle of the night as courteous as i am with my stereo //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Something about a noise complaint thread on a forum full of people who strive to be noise complaints is just funny //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I've had neighbors who can be a little loud at times. But then again, so am I on the weekends.

I would do basically what you hinted at in the first post. Does your apartment offer a view of your car at night? If so, invest $100-150 in a wired network camera off eBay and set it up to record at night. You can get a better quality wired camera for the money than a wireless that you'd have to worry about hiding outside.

Move your computer close to where the camera will be or buy a long cat5 cable off eBay. Keep the captures for 7 days or as long as you have space on your hard drive for, just incase they mess with you car and you don't realize immediately. This will allow you to say whatever to your neighbors, notify the landlord, and call the cops without worry that they can damage your property without consequence. This is not just a $100-150 solution to this problem, but a way of being able to watch your car overnight for years. This provides a peace of mind that if your car or stereo equipment gets jacked, you at least have a person on camera. Maybe even a getaway car.

Make sure you run some tests at night to ensure you've setup the camera to do its job. If you're relying on motion detection, see if it detects you slowly walking up to the farthest point of your car, standing for a minute, and walking away. You want it set to record for at least a few minutes after it detects motion so that if someone is fumbling with your valve stem for a while the camera doesn't stop recording.

We had to deal with some noisy neighbors when we first moved into our home. I actually talked to them about the noise and I got the door slammed in my face. So, that lead to me calling the authorities. It turned out to be more than just noise they were in trouble for. When the police got there, they had underage drinking, smoking weed, and supposedly and orgy going on in the basement. Nice huh.
