noise with new system

Dealer put my new system in and i have two different noises. He closed for the weekend before i could get back to him. Curious as to what you may think it is. I did get to call him before he closed and he has assured he will correct. He just had a very similar problem with an Acura TL.

I kept the factory head unit in my 08 Accord and he put in all new speakers a sub and two amps. He had to use a line converter to hook it all up.

1. I have a static sounding hum even when the system is turned off.

2. Every 20 seconds (timed it) i get 2 soft rumbles from my sub even with the system turned off.

Also had these next problems with the factory system and have it with the new: Rear speakers sound like crap by themselves. There is a seperate sub contol in the factory head unit but the bass seems to stall as i turn it up. The sub also goes away as i fade the speakers to the front even though it has its own level control. Would something like a JL Cleansweep or Audiocontol summing device cure this?

Sorry for so many questions and thanks for your input.

If that system is anything like the system in my '07 Civic Si, then the sub control is actually fed off the rears, so if you fade to the front then the sub output fades also because it's actually part of the rear output. I assume you have the 7 speaker system in your car. I had the same issue when I installed my sub to the OEM hu. I know there are issues with noise in the Honda stereo systems right out the factory. You might want to find the ground on the OEM amp, which is probably separate from the HU and not built in, and make sure it's grounded properly. I'm also keeping my stock hu, but I'll be ditching my OEM amp and using a custom made harness that connects the OEM hu's outpiuts to my aftermarket amps. You might wanna also check any '08 Honda Accord forums, I'm sure there are guys who have had similar issues and solutions to them.

Have you disconnected the ANC mics from the front and rear? That might get rid of the rumbling from your subs. I know it did mine.

Not sure if this will help but...I initially ran a 360.2 off the OEM HU and had a low whine (not an alt whine) that was only noticeable when it was quiet. I just installed a W505 (retained use of the 360) and still have the same noise. I'm not sure if it's the 360 or amp or something else.

there is a noise canceling microphone that is used by the factory audio system that needs to be disabled, it will fix your problems.

Behind the radio there is a 16pin grey plug with 5 or so wires coming from it. This is the plug for the noise cancelation system, unplug it and problem is fixed
