Noise problems

Well.. got my MD2 in today. Hooked everything up, noise got horrible. I'm not sure what happened, it was pretty much a drop in install since all the wire was ready and there was previously a d6 1000.1 hooked up. Only thing I did was move the grounds over a bit (about 8 inches) so they can reach the amp. The buzz noise goes along with my engine.. it's pretty annoying. My sub amp rca is run along with the power wire, but it never caused problems before so it shouldn't now. The noise is there when I turn the car on (not engine yet, but noise is there w/ engine on too) however, when I turn the keys all the way back and have only my headunit running, the noise is gone and the system works fine. anyone know the problem?

not so good grounds where though? metal is scraped, grounded with a bolt. these are the same grounds i had previously before the md2 install and there was no noise.

theres also a boom noise from the subwoofer when i turn the volume to 0.. right as it hits 0.

have you set your gains correctly? using test tones? i would start there.
