Noise Problem...

I have an amp mounted in the hatch area of my car, it is just above the factory battery location, getting allot of whine, disconnecting RCAs make no difference, gain settings make no difference, disconnecting the batery (after starting the car), makes no differecnce, butting foil between the amp and battery makes no difference, moving the amp away from the battery is the only thing that makes a difference, but so far, this is the only place in the car the amp will fit, any ideas of how to prevent this noise from entering the amp?
