my friend almost got a $180 ticket, he had a 15" punch z and a rf 201s in a sealed box.....the law here is 50ft away. but our cops don't care if you're playin some old rock song or somethin, but if its rap they'll tell ya to turn it down supposedly.............

I could see that. Sort of like how motorcycles and loud exhausts dont get ticketed....bunch of BS, matter of fact, Im gonna raise the flag....

The ordinance here is if the stereo can be heard 25 feet from the vehicle with all the windows rolled up the operator can be ticketed.

Harleys and hotrods with exhaust that can be heard blocks and blocks away, however, are seemingly immune to such noise pollution regulations

I really could care less about the noise ordanince. Im working on my new system right now, so theirs nothing in my car, but when i had my 2 15s in a slot ported box, I would blast it at the light all the time. I was driving near some dorm rooms one day, and set off an alarm about 2 months ago, and their was a cop their that I didnt see, and he gave me a ticket, but my friends father is a cop, so i gave it to him, and he got rid of it for me. I dont blast it in my neighborhood, but I often do at lights, but I do turn it down sometimes.

you should turn it down at all stoplights when there are other cars around.....I'm not talking like o% volume but about 50% like my kenwood goes to 32 and I listen at max 26(where my gains are set to) but at a light i'll bring it down to 16. only cause I had one guy actually get out of his car once and confront me at a stop sign. and I finally realized that its not cool to bass at 100% all the time, i've set off my share of alarms but when you can see the trucks rear window in front of you shaking to the same rhythm your playing it kinda makes you think about how those people in the truck feel. actually now eveytime I hear someone blasting thir setup I almost wanna tell them how stupid it makes them look even tho they think its cool. and Loud exhausts.....well I'm so sick of hearing that trademark honda BRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAb.b.bBRAAAAAWWWWWWWW i could puke...ok rant mode off, still please everyone be considerite of others

A couple idiots give everyone in car audio a bad name. One of my friends actually wanted me to feel sorry for him because he got a "noise ticket". I just laughed at him. I admit i blast my music loud, but i dont do it in residental neighboorhoods, especially at 4 am. I play it on main roads.

Its all about respect and consideration. Theres nothing worse than sitting in a traffic jam with some idiot behind you just blasting his stuff. Sad thing is, they really do think they are so cool. I just want to vomit on his face.

Comparing motorcycles to car stereos is apples and oranges. The noise a motorcycle makes is usually considered a necessary evil. Plus you don't get rappers with a soft spot for the words "n1gg3r","fvck","b1tch",etc out of a harley Engine.

I'd say turn it down. It's easy and avoids tickets. Also deadener, lots of it. A little deadener goes a long way 25 feet away from a vehicle.

plus it would be a good idea to save our hearing, i'm already losing noticable hearing at 20 just because i'm into loud things, I play he drums and guitar LOUD, play in the band LOUD, go to concerts LOUD listen to headphones LOUD, car LOUD, home theater LOUD, hell even my angle grinder and orbital sander are loud enuff to cause damage, i've started to listen to things at a lower level and also use ear protection more

in ocala fl, and im sure gainesville too, the law is if its heard 100 ft. away or more then u get a $47 ticket, or it may be $71 now, and u can get a ticket at any time of the day for it

well i believe the law here is 75 feet away, which ISNT very far at all if you think about it. when i got my first system about 3 or so years ago all i did was play it loud all the time...nowadays i barely turn it up when i drive, i'll set the bass at a MODERATE level so i can drive and listen comftorably and turn it up and let it rip at competitions. i always turn my crap down at red lights...NEVER bump it in my neighborhood, etc. i hate people that play at red lights //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif and people that turn it up really loud and all you hear is distortion, when will these kids learn //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
