hey guys (and gals)

im having some trouble with an alternator whine. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif ive regrounded everything headunit, amps, etc. ran new power and ground wires (speaker too) and the darn thing is still there. so my question to you is does having the crossovers for my comps close together cause noise? (the noise only happens when to car is on, when it just accesories it sounds great) the two sets of comps are dynaudio 240 GT's and CDT eurosports ES-643 braxs. any help you be great thanks!

also i took pictures of my install that ill be posting later..thanks again

Disconnect the RCA's from each amp (do an amp at a time) and see if the noise is still there or not. If it is, then it is a ground problem with the amp, if it isn't, then its the deck. What headunit are you using?

alright i did the test, i still have the noise through all the amps when i disconnect them one by one, the ground for these cant get any better...im using 1/0 guage ground wire (2 gauge power) with a streetwires "tri ground" bolt (3 screws) and the paint has been scraped off. H/U problem or bad alternator..or possibly all of the above

if i run an new wire to the battery. what gauge should it be? i have every kind avaliable. same with the alternator, or should i still use the factory wiring?
