noise filter question

i tried every trick in the book to get rid of that whinning sound only thing left is a noise filter do these really work if so whats the best

Alternator whine is generally indicative of a poor ground connection.

This could be a poor ground on the headunit - it could be one or more amps have poor ground locations - your RCAs could be bad (or just lousy)

The noise filters can get rid of most, if not all, of your noise but all they are is a Band-Aid to cover the problem rather than an actual cure to eliminate it.
