NO Sound with IPOD playing on AVIC-Z110BT

have Pioneer AVIC-Z110bt

Can't get any sound when I put the HU on ipod mode. Interface clearly shows a song is in progress. volume is good. AV settings shows Antenna (ANT) is on "Power" . How do i get the sound to work?

hooking up ipod via usb or aux?

does ipod play sound when you put a set of headphones in it?

if hooking up aux, is your aux turned on in your HU menu? i have to manually turn mine on if i want it to work.
