No Sound While Playing CD's

So I finally got my D310 in. Radio works fine. When I put a CD in, it reads the disc and plays it but no sound. i-Personalize doesn't work either because it says you have to do the stupid foot brake, pull ebrake, release ebrake, and repull ebrake (to watch DVDs) to get into the i-Personalize menu. So I guess my switches aren't working then even though they are just grounded.

I need to get a Pac TR7...

Any ideas?

Are the amps turning on? often people will connect the blue wire (for the atenna) instead of the blue/white wire (remote turn-on) to the amp, hence why it works for the radio and no the CD

The factory amp turns on, yes. I just put the remote wire on the wiring harness into the factory amp remote lead PIN. Before, no sound was working. Now the radio sound works but not CD.

Receiving audio from the radio but no audio when you insert a CD.

The BLUE and BLUE/WHITE wires may have been reversed at the time of installation. The BLUE antenna wire will shut down when you switch to CD. Use the BLUE/WHITE wire for your turn-on lead on the amplifiers.

Ok I switched it but then nothing worked. So I put it back to the original wire and radio works but still no CD. There is static when I have the radio on even on volume 0 and there is nothing on CD. So...this is killing me....

That's the connector I am working with. There are three but this is the amp one. Pin 15 is the amp turn on which is where I have the remote wire. Ex/Si are only models with the amped factory system. Pin 7 is the only other blue wire on that connector and I just tried that one and nothing worked, but radio works with Pin 15.

It sounds to me like you have the wrong turn on wire. if you have the blue/white off the alpine then you have the wrong one in your harness. I'm suprised metra hasn't made one for the ciivc yet!

as for the grounding issue, you can't just ground both wires, you n eed to constant ground one, then pulse then hold ground to the other. TR7 is a lifesaver //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Metra has a harness for the Civic (70-1722) which I plugged into the Honda wiring harness. Then I attached the Alpine harness to the metra.

As for the switches, I just spliced them into the ground wire. One for ebrake is a toggle switch and one for the foot pedal is a push button. And they aren't working..lol..I need the TR-7

i was gona say check the power antenna, you may have that as your turn on lead. which loses power when cd is on. etc.

the power antenna lead coming out of your hactory harness, is probably what is used to turn the factory amp on.. conect the alpine rem+ to that.

Yeah, that is where I have the remote going into on the 2nd connector. I am hoping to buy a Pac TR7 this week then I will redo my wiring and see what happens.
