Hey i tryed doing a search but everytime i do i get the database error thing. Anyway i have an older amp i picked up for cheap. It powers on but doesnt prouce sound. Anyway i just wanted to know what the problem could be, and how many things could be wrong with it? There isnt anything that is visably blown, no burn marks ect. Doesnt smell. Could it be some fuses? Rca jacks? Thanks im not too sure on this one.

well it powers up so the remote is connected, did you make sure the rcas at both ends are connected? hu and amplifier.

if it was a fuse issue then the circuit would be broken, it wouldn't power up.

did you check your connections at the speakers?

Yeah i double and triple checked the obvious things. Its a 2250SX with the internal fuses and they look fine so im not too sure. I just dont want to send it in if it could be something simple.

Check wiring, check the amp inside somewhere for voltage, to infact make sure there isnt a open circuit(meaning something is blown).

Last time i had a amp with no sound it was because someone flipping a switch to the slave position. Other than that it was blown fuse or blown amp.

Humm thanks for the info. Ill keep checking around. Either way for the price i payed and for how much a quote i have to fix it, it will equal out to alot less than what a good working one would go for so its not so bad.
