No sound! Help!

Well I just installed my Alpine 9830 in my 92 Mustang after the car sat for the winter. I took out the old HU and I noticed the factory amp for the Premium sound has been removed. Now I hooked the plug up to the correct one and everything powers up ok but I have no sound. When the HU was out I noticed there were about 5 or 6 extra plugs that were all unplugged so I never messed with them. Could this be my problem? Should I try plugging them into one another?

well did you hook it up right? and are you sure that you hooked it up right?

Yes I used the right speaker plug from Crutchfield. JP at Crutchfield is stumped as well. It powers up and I can see the display, I just can't hear anything. I am thinking it is just the plugs that are unplugged. I will check it out tomorrow.

Just an update. The HU was working in the first place, I just didn't have any sound coming from the speakers. Today I pulled the HU and plugged the extra plugs into each other. Now I have sound! Just gotta get my 6.5s hooked up and I will be set.
