okay so i recently bought a pioneer deh-p680mp. i installed made sure everything was connected correctly. well i turned it on and there was no sound from the unit. only the bass was going to the sub outputs to my amp but inside the car was none. i tried direct into a tweeter and nothing. could the harness be messed up? it powers on and everything else seems to work fine. what could be the problem?

How about you rewrite those questions in proper English. What you wrote above is impossible to discern.

ok sorry. basically i installed it and the only output in audio it from the rca's, there is no sound going into the inside speakers(fronts and rears). only subs in trunk are bumpin. people were saying the deck is messed up but its still putting out sound. i have no idea whats going on here

ok..two quick question?..do you have an amp for your mids and highs?(meaning door and rear speakers)or are you running your speakers thru the headunit.?.

You might have mixed up your speaker wires. If all else fails, disconnect all of the speakers and test it on one speaker to see if you get sound.

^^^Pioneers are notorious for not putting out sound if a speaker is blown or a speaker wire is grounding out somewhere. Do like Smoka said and disconnect all the speaker wires from the harness and then test for output on a test speaker. You usually have to remove power from the radio after disconnecting the speaker wires so it resets itself.

If your deck is fried...I'll buy the pioneer harness from you...I need one for a DEHP680MP I have in the garage.

ok geez im not a audio retard, i know how to wire my stuff up. anyways, i opened up the deck and looked into the circuit board.

1. it didnt make sense to me that sound comes out of the rcas but not the harness.

2. its pretty much brand new so it was probably a defective product. thats why i got it for 130 NIB and worked good for about a month.

so when i opened it up and inspected it really closely. one of the solder points were shot. so by this, either it got too hot and melted or it was just bad to begin with. i dont have pics but i hope this helps out in the future if this problems ever come again.

all i did was resoldered it (very thick) and put it all back together BAM!. it works great again.
