no sound from headinit

Unit powers on but no sound comes from speakers. Unit has been working for about 2 years. Noise that sounds like a power antenna coming from backseat area. (I have manual antenna) how can I check for blown outputs or touching wires? I have multimeter. 1999 tahoe clarion DVD/CD player. Sub still working

it could be your internal amp in the headunit thats blown

Remove it from the car and testing it there is the best way.

is it a way to test for a short or blown output on the headunit with a multimeter? or
