I'd need to see the specs on the amp and the sub. When you get the new amp or the repaired amp, set your gains with a digital multimeter. And I haven't really noticed any flaws getting worse in my setup with a good head unit and good speakers. You could have some really bad recordings though. And -12 dB on your crossover for the tweeters? Yikes. I always keep mine at 0 dB on the crossovers. That's a lot of tweeter loss. How much power you got going to them?
