no output when left front speaker is wired

as title says. I'm installing a Power Acoustik double-din touch screen for a guy, when the front left speaker is wired, there is 0 output on all speakers, when I cut it, the other 3 work fine. hooked the leads up to the multimeter, and they read 3.1 ohms just like touching the leads to the speaker terminals.

any ideas?

You try a different speaker on it?

Sounds like there is a short in the wire

to

the speaker reverse the left and right outputs

to

that speaker output

from the stereo and see what happens

That speaker is shorted.......trace the short down and fix......or run new wire to that speaker.

yup yup, somewhere along the line its grounding out...
