yeh, i agree with all of you speeding is a bad thing, and i wouldint worry about a detecter so much if i was just doing 10 over on the highway, but its usualy stupid shit like 80 mph on a 45 on average, i know thats really bad and dangerous but it just feels so cool how everything is so close and it feels so fast.

i really just need to drop the bad habbit of speeding.

your all right, its like that with everything in life, just do what your supposed to and you will be free of trouble.

^^ well said prowler, but if you are gonna get a radar get a good one, the Escort Passport 8500 X50 is what i have never let me down yet, very well respected company next to valentine.
I have the Bel Pro RX65 (same detector as yours...same internals in a slightly different case....Beltronics was acquired by Cincinnati Microwave a few years ago and their products all now roll out of the same factory //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif)

Valentine? Pffft.

An extra $100 for those silly arrows and weaker K and Ka-band detection. Yep. GREAT deal.

Im not trying to be your mom or dad, but it wont feel "cool" when you hit a little kid or kill someone else and have to live with that for the rest of your life, and quite possibly do jail time...Maybe think about how you could effect other peoples lives just so you can get an adrenilin rush.

i also disagree, i have a beltronics STI driver series, and its wonderful, i just upgraded lil over a month ago from an rx65 model and its even better than that, it works about 65-75% of the time, they work so well it sometimes becomes annoying, but u get used to it...pricey tho, the sti cost me a fer pieces short of 500 but the rx models are in the 300 zone...

btw speeding is bad haha

i enjoy the beltronics, ive owned them for the last 10 years or so, even back when they used to have a compass, wonder why they stopped that, not that it matters now that i have a GPS in the car, but egh, its always nice to have semi-useless crap

I thought about buyin a detector but I opted for an Ipod. Why? Because with good music to listen to at all times I don't feel the need to speed or drive aggresively. My '03 cobra got me a speeding ticket and an accident. Then one night in my 4cyl 04 accord (slow as hell with the 20s on it) I got another speeding ticket. What'd I learn? to me it's just 5-10 over the limit, to the cop its speeding regardless. I refuse to speed anymore. Going with the flow ftw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

They're good and their bad

Depends on which one you use.

Honestly, the true problme with them, is that they make you think your invincible and you forget to look out (wich is the best detector ever [recognizing sillouetes is thie shit] ) I remember i was in my dads girlfriends new 650i, driving 145 with a valentine one (which is a fantastic detector by the way). I s..topped to turn off a exit earlier then i had planed, and low and behond there was a cop waiting for me just on the other end.

Now, would he have caught me? i highly doubt it. But the fact still remains i would've been ****ed due to him catching my plate etc. etc.

The detector never even hinted a beep. i dont know why, but it didn't. It had worked earlier in the cruise, for some reason it just decided to ignore that certain car, perhaps because the cops had gained the hand.. i dont know, dont care. it just didn't work, i decided to get off at the next exit because i had chanced myself enough. and there we go. another not even a 1/16th away taking speeds. Im truly lucky, be careful.

sorry to cut this story short, time for sleep

i feel like with radar detectors you reall get what you pay for...ive had the escort 8500 x50 since i got my license 3 years ago and its never let me down city or highway....and for all the people that say go with the flow...sometimes your out late at night and not at rush our where theres far less people on the road and going a little over the speed limit is hard not to do

I love the V One but i've kind of got to agree with you, i was humming along at 145 for probably about 5-10 minutes (a long long time at that speed) on the highway in broaddaylight and only missed a cop who was chilling before the onramp for traffic going the opposite way because i randomly decided i got it out of my system and wanted to head home. Not even a mutter from the detector. Would've been boned big time if i didn't get caught. Then again i had 10 more mph before the govenor kicked in and probabaly was going fast enough that they couldn't catch up anyway. **** im good.

^what kinda car do you drive?

my lil accord can only make it up to 130 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
