No more Pontiacs...evar.

DETROIT – General Motors Corp. could be majority owned by the federal government under a massive restructuring plan laid out Monday that will cut 21,000 U.S. factory jobs by next year and phase out the storied Pontiac brand.....
...If both are successful, the government and UAW health care trust would own 89 percent of GM stock, with the government holding more than a 50 percent stake, CEO Fritz Henderson said in a news conference at GM's Detroit headquarters.
Sweet it looks like the government is going to be in the car business, they run everything else efficiently I fully expect this to work out great

Would be awesome, it could be like medicare and prescriptions. You and I can pay alot in taxes so old people could get "discounted" cars at 10x what they should cost. Canada will produce cheaper cars but of course it will be illegal to get cars from Canada...

My first car was a Pontiac. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

....its stock :p

In my family right now... The 66 GTO (dad), 67 Firebird (mom), 08 G6 Convertible (mom), 01 Grand Prix GT (2 wife, G ma).

My dad has always been a Pontiac mechanic so this will likely affect him as well, but he works on GM in general. Needs to retire anyways!
