having it be winter and me showing off my system in it's final days, I had to pull my HU out to keep it skipping (done this many times). Anyways, this time somehow all my speakers stopped working and all i have is bass coming from the subs. All the speakers are running off the HU's internal amplifier, which I thought may have fried by having the RCAs hit a ground or something, but there was no smoke or smell, so I don't think that is the issue. What other reasons could there be for not having my speakers work? Thanks.

Did you pull your HU all the way out, as in disconnect all the wires?

Or did you just remove it from the trim ring.

You probably disconnected a wire from your HU to your speakers

Maybe all your bass caused your speakers to die //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Find the wire that goes from your Hu to your speakers, and test it with a DMM, see if anything is coming out.

Would there be any other way, lol. I don't have a DMM on me, how about running a computer fan to the speaker wire and testing voltage that way, lol.

Yeah trace the speaker wires back and make sure they are all hooked up, you should have a total of 8 speaker wire, 1 ground, 1 power, 1 ignition, 1 remote, there should be a unhooked power antenna wire, and an illumination wire that could or could not be used. Just check em all, take the head unit out and check the entire harness, double, triple, quadruple check it!!!

my blue power antenna wire came loose, the crimp fell completely off. I wouldn't have thought that would take my sound away and leave me with bass though.... maybe i just have it setup in an odd fashion. I still haven't tested it by touching the blue wires, which is what i'm about to do. I have a feeling that will solve my problems though. Thanks for the support guys.

yea one day i acciently pulled the wires out of my front stage amp and didnt have an allen to fix it so i had nothing but bass all the way back to my house.. to tell ya the truth doing the all bas thing is kinda bizzare but cool

Nothing but bass ****ing sucks especially when you have a setup like mine, it hurts my ears and i can't stand it. i'm just gonna sell my car too i guess, lol

is one of your speakers terminals touching metal? i know it doesn't have to do with the Hu but if the internal amp isn't playing it could be that or you just messed the internal amp up. i had an 8443 that wouldn't play unless you used RCAs.
