Browsing around for enclosure recommendations on these subs I noticed that they removed the GTi subs from the JBL USA site yet they are still up on the UK site. I guess thats another company thats ditching their high-end product sales to the US....like Pioneer.

(If its old news, my bad)

Good thing they're still on ebay...

You're looking at it from the wrong perspective. Think of it as you would as if you were the CEO of the company. Why keep producing, shipping, and trying to sell a product that very little people are interested in. I've seen next to no people using JBL subs. They're product line, at least in the US is more focused in home theater and pro-sound. Same with Pioneer... there's no interest for "high-end" Pioneer products. It's more popular as an entry to mid-level gateway for beginning car-audio enthusiasts. Usually when they look to go high end, they look elsewhere.

Just my $0.02

True,

but I still think it sucks.

yeah but they were still good subs.

and to see them gone for good from such a big company is kinda sad

this just made me want to get one before they disappera (not that it will happen anytime soon)

They are still on the site from what i can see. At the bottom. i looked at buying one before and the thing i didnt like is the dual 6 ohm coils. If you only want one sub, you almost have to get one of thier GTO amps that put out the same power at all impedances or buy a very large amp that puts out 800watts at 3 ohms. If im buying an amp that has that much power, i will get a dual 2 sub and run 2000 watts to it.
