Can you take the S5 with you to another carrier?

they managed to lock it when they shut it off...Im unsure how...they did that...im thinking of straight talk ...they have a good plan ...and a friend gave me a droid phone...dont know about it though but he said it would work...the straight talk is about $50 a month at walmart

What carrier was it on previously? With some US carriers you can ask to have it unlocked when it's no longer in contract, but I don't really know anything about these government phones. I know there are services that can remotely carrier unlock phones for you, but again, I don't know if that applies here.

I know AT&T has a $45/mo no contract plan with talk/text/and data. My ex bought an iPhone off Craigslist and did that. It looks like they've improved it; unlimited talk, text, and data (hi-speed up to 1.5GBs, then they thottle the hell out of it). It used to be unlimited text, 750 Minutes, and like 250MB of data.

The Droid phone looks nice but not as nice as the Samsung Galaxy S5 ...I think its only 3G as well...but it was free if thats what it takes to have a phone again

that must be just his area obama phones still work here and you cant get no good phones they got 4 to choose from and they all 30.00 phones or cheaper lol

BUT A PHONE IS A NECESSITY... cant respond to job offers, caseworkers, or anything without one... what you gonna put on a job app no phone number? lol you need a phone to be able to move n shake... if you didnt realize that its probably cuz you havent been without one... other than that i love the gov. rage... get it out.... lol

Then put on some khakis and a tie and go find a job. Literally takes 1 day of real searching. And a home phone is like 10 dollars a month.

$10 an hour might not be much. But start small and work up.
