Why? If a new battery does the trick. A HO ALT is not always needed.

bigger battery can be a strain on your factory alt.

Yep, big three done with 1/0 AWG. Im running a hifonics BX1000D (1000 RMS) right now, with a jensen 75 rms X 2 for my highs.
