He probably hooked up the constant wire to the turn on from the car instead of the cars constant. If you take your radio out, I bet the red and yellow wires coming out of the radio are hooked together.

 
a. battery wire isn't correctly wiredb. fuse is bad

c. just have a bad or shorted wire

what I did was ran my own ground and power wire directly from the battery for best connection
If the fuse was blown, how would it turn on at all?
