There is no high pass filter on the amp I am looking forward to trading do component crossovers have them built in?

No, the passive crossovers for component speakers generally do not have any built-in highpass for the mid. You would need to do it externally either with the headunit (if it has a highpass built-in) or use some other form of external crossover.
