No high frequencies from subs in trunk...

liiiiiiike...wtf?
I'm running 2 12in Type-R's off an Orion 1200D amp with two boxes from TheCarAudioBox.com...now...i dont think theirs anything wrong w/ my amp or subs or box...but its just that while sitting in my car...all i hear are the low frequencies of the music. For example: In the song, TI - What you know about that...ill barley hear any of the bass in the whole bass rif. untill about the end where it goes pretty low and it'll suddenly go from very quiet bass where the high notes are to shaking my car apart where the lower note hits. If tried messing w/ my crossovers and nothing works. I've heard many systems that will hit all those notes perfectly, but I just cant get it to work in mine.

Also, when the trunk is open and you listen to the subs...it hits the notes perfectly. It's like the higher frequencies won't travel through my car where the lower ones will perfectly. Anything I can do to fix that?

LP = 50 , HP=28

Ive had my LP as high as 150 and my HP as high as 50 and still nothing works...

Ive moved my boxes around a lot and nothing...

The boxes im using are the stanard boxes that Mark makes for all 12in Type-R's. But it just doesn't do it with the boxes I have now. I had 3.5 cubic in tuned to 35hz previously that did the same thing in my car. I put the box in my friends car with his two Type-S's and it hit every note. I think it could be my trunk, but i have no idea. More input would be great.

It's the crossovers... or a VERY oddly tuned bandpass

dont you guys read?

This guys obvioulsy has heaps of cancellation in the upper bass region....

Its a ver common problem, but your case sounds pretty extreme. The only thing you can really do is try to move the box's around. Make sure they are obviously facing the same way so that the subs can act together.

Cancellation is a risk you take with ported boxes.

set the hp around 25 and the lp around 80

So they don't do it in your friends car? Are the subs type s or r? Or did you put 2 r's and 2 s's? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
