I'm pretty sure DD is going to dominate at the show.Here are a few of the DD systems that will be there:

-2 DD1515's in a silverado on a quantum 1500d

-1 DD9515d on an rd1750 in a tacoma

-6 DD1512's on an M3 in a 4door dodge ram

-2 DD2510's on 2 M1a in a Nissan Versa (this one is going to hurt some of the local's feelings //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

-My 3 DD3515's on 1 IA 20.1 (lost an amp 2 weeks ago)

-Dave's

We had 26 entries and 80+ spectators last year. Looking for a better turnout this year, there has been alot more talk about it.

I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing some of those setups....

the Quantum 1500's arn't the best amps but they will suprise you....I think they are DB Drives low end and are very reliable...and decent power for cheap....I'm guessing 700rms

i wasnt 100% on who made them

i was guessing around 500-750rms

not really a competition amp but a decent daily amp....maybe if you had about 8 of them suckers you could start to get a little bit serious lol

I could be in the 150's with 4 of those BOSS amps on 4 15's with this box in the CRX.....

and those 4 15's fit below all glass lines including the rear and are behind the B Pillar...its also slot ported btw ....

the rex took first and loudest of the day....so not bad... on two 10's I did a 150.6 on 4 I did a 152.8 ...I think at the next show I'm gonna try what Tommy recommended and redo the face board to a single 1" the 2.25" may of hurt me ...on this setup....

Airflow.

With a motor that big on such a tiny sub, airflow from the rear of the cone is limited already.

That thick *** baffle really chokes the rear of the sub, potentially causing a loss of SPL.

I have heard of some guys gaining upwards of .5 by rounding off the inside lip of the sub cutout, especially if the baffle is double thick or more.

On 10's the basket is so small and airflow is already limited.
