No front sound...bad rear sound

Just finished installing, in 2006 Sebring convertible, Pioneer BT8500 head unit, 4 x JBL 6 X 9 300W max 4 way coax, all new monster speaker wire, and Power Akoustik 2700W 5 channel amp, not using the 5th channel(sub) for now. I ran 3 RCA's from head unit to the amp, hooked up correctly. Amp turns on ok. All speakers wired correctly to/from amp. I connected all wires thru Metra harness for speakers, even though none are connected at the speakers themselves...all wires were run fresh from amp to speakers. The only sound I get is un-amped sound from the dash-top speakers(which is ok with me for highs), no sound from doors at all, and crappy sound from rears. It sounds like there is no amp at all. Do the pre-amp outputs behind the head unit automatically override the speaker wires in the harness, or do I have to cut the harness wires away? Is that my problem? Or do I have amp tweaking to do? Very frustrated right now....for the amount of effort and money put in, it all sounds like crap. Some suggestions?

if it was the factory infinity system you will have to bypass the factory amp. look under the passenger seat for the amp.

pretty sure it had a factory amp for the front speakers either way, i would just run all new speaker wire, to save time just cut the factory wire, and solder onto it in the driver/pass kick.

...all wires were run fresh from amp to speakers, as I said, and it was not the factory Infinity system. No old parts are being used, except the harness and the dashtop speakers. ALL other wiring is new.

Sounds like an amp under the seat , factory, not coming on By pass it

fixed my problem. both front speakers had become disconnected in the doors upon installation, and the front and rear gains were turned all the way down to zero from the factory on the amp. all is adjusted perfect now, sounds awesome! honestly, i'm a little surprised that no "experts" suggested either of these easy repairs, but i am happy nonetheless. Thanks!

we tend to offer suggestions that are a little past making sure the speakers are connected. That should have been the first thing you do before asking what to do on here.
