agree with too many games and they play when most of us are working wich makes it even tougher to follow and its not that exciting anyways. i like to take the kids to a game or two a year and thats as far as it goes. if the pirates made the playoffs i would watch but thats unlikely cuz they ****. baseball is a kids sport and was exciting when i was a kid but now its just ok to go to a game once in a while and leave it at that. much the same as watching golf to me. i dont think hitting 90mph fast ball is hardest thing to do in sports. i think golf is one of the hardest sports personally. i bet most everyone would stand a better chance of hitting a 90mph fastball as opposed to shooting under par on a pro golf course.

Was reading the yahoo sports page for Cleveland and he says he is fine and it didn't affect him in anyway, but he could just be saying that.
Point is, he got rocked and hasn't looked good at all in preseason, granted it is preseason. I am sure if he is fine and once he gets in to the swing of things, he will get back on track. One thing is almost for certain.........he won't have the year he had last year. Hell he went 7 starts before giving up this many runs, and did it in the opening day this season, lol!

We have the offense to be competitive, but not the pitching. Remember CC did well for us last year after his horrible start. He won a lot of games once he got going. Besides Lee, we don't have anybody unless Carmona pitches like he did two years ago and Westbrook comes back sooner than later. I am not confident in Pavano, Reyes, Laffey, Lewis or the likes as the rest of our starters. It will be a long year if Lee and Caromona don't pitch well. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif
yeah but CC is a head case. whenever the pressures on he tries too hard and ends up doing what he did today. and when you cant deal with pressure playing in New York aint the city to play in.

I think he should of stayed in the NL where he could bat and batters still didnt have his delivery timed too well but when someone throws 100 million at you its a little hard to say no haha.... hell have a quality season cause at the end of the day hes one of the best but the playoffs itll be the same old story.

eh, you have to have insane hand eye coordination to hit a 90mph fastball. id bet it would be easier for a kid to learn to golf than to hit a fastball. i think you could teach him to have the perfect golf swing but if he doesnt have the reflexes or hand eye coordination to hit a fastball he probably never will.

Well I don't believe he is a head case. I still like CC as he is one of the better guys in the sport. Shame he went to the Yankees, but money talks......you know the rest.

Remember, it is opening day, and CC did the same last year, but was terrible through like his first 8 starts, then started to settle down. He will do the same with the Yankees and be one of their better starters when it comes down to it. He is IMO a better all around pitcher than Lee is. Lee had a fantastic year last year, but I think it will be a one year thang. I see him going .500 this year, maybe 14-12 if he is lucky with a sub par 4.00 ERA when it is all done this year. I honestly hope I am wrong, but he wasn't anything to write home about before last year. CC has had many good years..........Well Lee had 1 other season he did good, but nothing like last year.

I agree.......it took me awhile to knock out some pitches at 80 plus.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

First time I ever went golfing.........granted I would go to the driving range a lot, I shot a 85, which isn't too bad considering it was my first time ever on a course.

I miss playing baseball, don't miss playing golf. Golf is uber boring to watch.......baseball is getting there for me to watch. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Rather go to the games, but barely have time to watch it on the **** tube......

usually people that hate baseball are the kids that were forced to play right field in little league.
now i love baseball and i must say unless im there at the ballpark its tough to watch a full regular season game. usually watch first 2 innings, peak at the score in the middle, and watch the last two innings.

hitting a 90mph fastball is the hardest thing to do in sports fyi.....
what about stopping a 100+ mph slapshot from the point with traffic in front

so basically u only see it for 5 feet

badmouth baseball all you want (cuz it does ****) but don't hate on basketball.
basketball is so freaken boring, i tried watching a game, i changed the channel with in 5 minutes, there is no energy, if someone gets slapped its a foul, if someone falls they get hurt......grow a pair and play a real sport

Whats a real sport to you?

Obvious you just don't like basketball or baseball, which is fine, but your reasons are just lame. Maybe I just have passion for basketball as I love the fast pace of the game..........granted not every game is like that, but majority of basketball games amp me up.

I betcha you say soccer, lol!

soccer is good in europe, but really only for the fans (germany is taking the world cup in 2010 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

im a hockey guy (and no im not canadian //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif )

catching it with the glove hand 100% of the time instead of just finding a way to get in front of it and stop it i might come to a compromise.

id say in hockey the goalie at least knows the general direction the puck is coming from and has a decent chance to stop it. id argue that being a major league infielder might be a little more difficult. goalie knows where the puck is coming from. batters can hit it in any direction. ever play 3rd base on a regulation field? could you imagine a guy the size of Mark Mcgwire or barry bonds being only 90 feet from you and hitting a ball at you..... at least hockey players have pads, fielders only have their gloves....

sure we could sit here and name 1000 things in sports that are difficult, but hitting something you cant see that is coming from 60ft and something you only have a tenth of a second to decide whether to swing or not.... go to the batting cage sometime and try.... then try your goalie scenario and get in front of a ball and see if you can get it to hit your body haha

Wait you play volleyball and watch no sports..............and you just said that on a caraudio forum? Wait..........we have another girl in here. Woot!
