no amps working

i just went to test my new amp and it didnt power up, i checked everthing twice and it still didnt work. Then i tried my directed 1500d and that didnt work either. I know its getting power could this be a remote problem

do you have a DMM so you knwo you are getting power to teh amp?

it sparks when i touch it to metal so i assume theres current coming through it

if u change the remote wire and it still wont power up..it might be the headunit.

why not just tap your power wire for a temp remote see if amp turns on if it does then you know your problem.
