Nitrous + Subs = wtf?

Nitrous by itself is not flammable.... It's just like oxygen.... when it is mixed with a flammable substance, it makes it more flammable, but can not burn by itself.
actually, it by itself is flammable. technically it's not an explosive like everybody thinks, it's an oxydizer. our atmosphere is about 21% oxygen, and reason why you can have fires is because it burns the oxygen in the air. nitrous is N20, two parts nitrogen, one part oxygen, making it about 33%. with more oxygen to burn in the atmosphere, fires get bigger, faster. it can be an explosive though, if you have a backfire down one of the lines to the tank, but in now way shape or form should it explode in green flames like it did in the fast and the furious. stupid ricers.

Well, I was not trying to get overly technical with the description, but I will for the benefit of all....

Nitrous oxide is 36% oxygen by weight, and the atmosphere is 23% oxygen by weight..... Also, n2o is 50% denser than air at a given pressure. In our terms, one cubic foot of n2o has 2.3 times as much oxygen as a cubic foot of air....

n20 also adds power with its dramatic cooling effect on the intake charge, but that is off topic, like the rest of my rant, lol...

Like Moocow stated, nitrous oxide is an oxidizer, but oxidizers are not flammable by themselves, but they do make flammable substances more flammable by oxidizing them (adding oxygen molecules).

If you can ignite n20 by itself, you would be operating outside the laws of nature.

thats retarded...just dont play your subs for a while before you burp...nitrous cooling thats pretty rice...besides things to not do well when they are really hot and frozen instantly, they crack, also it would create condensation and electricty and water, are always the best combination, ITS FAKE

Do some research on N2O.... it is not a flammable gas, and the government classifications will confirm that for you. Gasoline is injected through the nozzles along with n2o to help ensure that the mixture is not too lean.... You probably saw the gasoline ignite. I realize that this is getting way off topic, and I apologize, but nitrous oxide is not flammable "by itself."

I simply do not like misinformation, and I can speak confidently in this area because I sell n2o out of my shop in Sun Prairie, WI, and utilize it on two of my vehicles. I tried to light some this morning just to humor those of you who believe otherwise....

Sorry, n2o does not ignite.

DITTO, F***KING RETARDED, NITROUS IS FAKE ANYWAYS!

That would be my guess too..... n2o is way too expensive to waste in that way, and I thought a bit about the possibilty that they have it in there in a closed loop sytem where they will leak n2o from a full bottle into an empty one, but that would not be very efficient, or feasible.

Definitely just for looks, but those bottles are expensive if he used real ones. Maybe he has them plumbed to the motor, and has dummy distribution block so it looks like they go to the subs....

I don't know.... anyhow, I'm done wasting my, and your time on this setup. It's way too "ricer" for me.

I am a chem minor, and he has had the most ocrrect answers on this subject...

N2O is an oxidizer, not the a fuel.

There are ways to externally cool a speaker, none of which are hooking N2O to one. Its fake, get over it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
