nissan nx

im installing a rockford RFX9100 head unit into a nissan NX. i've hooked up everything and now im getting a slight problem. if you turn the volume up a little, the deck will just stop playing and power off then turn back on. it does this over and over and over. also the headlights dim almost completely. im pretty sure that i've connected all the wires properly. any suggestions?

Have you had any battery or alternator problems and do you have this problem with the vehicle running?

yes the problem happens while the car is running

as for the alternator or battery problems, im not sure...

but i was sort of hoping those would be a last resort to check in to

if everything else fails, i'll take a look into those

any other ideas?

Any amps hooked up as well? You have checked and double checked and tripple checked the wiring on the head unit? If the wiring is all there and is ok it may be that there is an alternator or battery problem. If it is happening while the car is on it is probably more likely to be an alternator. However if there was no problem at all not even slightly before you installed the head unit I would have to say it has to be something in the wiring.
