yeah right!! My buddy had a memphis amp(1000 watts m-class) and this amp seems to push harder than it.
Rightly so. With a healthy electrical system, the Nine.1 has been tested to do closer to 1450-1500 watts @ 1 ohm.

hey i have a premeir 860 to this amp and was wondering where to set my gain. my HU is suppose to have 6.5v preouts but i have never actually measured the voltage on it, anyway, i have the gain set at about 9 'o clock on my SX15 and its loud, but mabey just a tad disapointing (i want it to hurt b4 i turn it down), but im afraid to turn up the gain at all. The bass boost is usually set around 1 o clock. should i trun it(bass boost or gain) up? im just afraid to mess somethin up

I know what u mean about turning it up. I have mine turn up about 11'o clock and it's pounding. But this is the biggest set up I've had, so I don't know what to tell u.
Set your gain with a DMM, and then if you must, crank it up a tad more. With a 6.5 volt input, I'd guess that amp will be putting out full power with it's gain knob at around 10-15% of max at the most.
what voltage do i set it to with a DDM? and that is with the bass boost all the way down right?
a guy i knew had a real RMS DMM (a very good one because hes an electritian) and i played around with it, listen to this
the LOWEST i could get the voltage to was 54.3v!!! thats with the gain and the bass bost all the way down. i also checked the exact impedence of my sub and it was fluctuating between 1.2 and 1.8 ohms so if i guess it in the middle its 1.5 ohms. now if you reverse the fourmula for finding voltage for RMS wattage, it would be 54.3 squared which = 2948.49 then divide it by the 1.5 ohm load, that is 1966 watts RMS!!!! is that right?????? if it is that is insaine
please correct me if i did something wrong

Yeah, that doesn't sound right. What test tone are you using? Are you connecting the DMM directly to the amp's speaker outputs?
Do you have loudness on? How high is the sub volume set on the HU? What volume level on the HU are you using to set the gains?
What is the sub's rated impedance? Dual 2?
If you do have a dual 2 ohm sub, then the AC voltage you'd be looking for would be the square root of (1200 x 1) = 34.6, or you could push the amp a bit more and set it to 1350 watts or so... sq rt of (1350 x 1) = 36.7 Volts AC
If your electrical system is suspect, then I'd suggest setting the amp to just 1200 watts.
i saw that i had the loudness on today, so ill try it again soon without it and see what it comes too

the low end filter was set to 0 - it goes up to +6 and down alot further
my electrical system is fine, it drops too low at idle with it set like it is, but if i rev it up a bit, the voltage only drops to about 13.2 rock bottom when its slammin
i have another question though, i tried every crossover and filter i have and a 50 hz tone still comes throught my speakers some (different amp thogh), how can i fix that?

yes, make sure the loudness is off, and any sort of bass boost is off as well.
As far as the low notes coming through your front speakers... That's going to happen a little bit, unless you cross your fronts way too high.
