nine.1 too much power for this????

I was wandering if a ed nine.1 running at 2 ohms so 900 rms would be too much power for one 12" kicker solobaric L7 dvc 4ohm wired to 2 ohm. And anyone know what trhese actaully put out???

I have heard some very good results with the ED amps. They tend to put out a bit more than they are rated for. I cant find any threads right now but I do know they work well. I dont know if it would be too much for a 12" L7 though.

i think you will be fine runnin an l7 off of the 9.1 just set your gains right and it will still pound to your satisfaction. i have a friend with a l7 10 running off a kiker 1250.1 at 2ohms and it is almost as loud as my rl-p.

Awesome I will probaly pick one of those up because then if I decide to add another 12" l7 in the future iut can be wired to 1 ohm and still power both nicely

I have been messing with L7's for a while now. One L7 on 1200 watts rms is perfect. Right now I am running 1200+ watts on a pair of L7's as a temporary amp while my Eclipse gets fixed and it barely does the job. They need a lot of power to really rail. I would recommend no less than 1000 watts each.

Diplexers so you are saying that even the nine.1 on 1 L7 is not going to be enough. It says 900 rms on theier site but form what I have heard they are underratted so it wshould break the 1000 barrier
