Yesterday I went to a local shop to get my girlfriend's cell phone back and tucked in a back corner I found these little things.

As you can tell these have been there a few years, about 7 according to the owner. Hopefully these will work well with my CD2 horns and yet to be determined 8" midbass. Maybe some of you old school guys can comment on these? Just going off of specs and the fact they were severely discounted I thought I'd give them a shot.

IMHO, I wouldn't even bother putting them with horns. You want high sensitivity and big cone area in a midrange to keep up with horns.....like the Audax PR170M0 or some of the 6.5" & 8" PHL drivers.

But hell, you got a good deal.......keep them around and you'll find something to use them for //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Sh*t I would have jewwed em down a little more you said they have been sitting there for how long 7 years or so . . . but you still got a good deal.

The problem is I can't fit something that big in my kicks. At best I could fit an Illusion ndi5 in there but can't afford that right now. I'll be running a dedicated midbass in the doors as well.

So then why bother with a 3-way? Just stick to a 2-way system.

It's better to do a proper 2-way than a half assed 3-way.

Yea I have to agree with you there. Well I have a Viper 400.2 and a 500.4 to power a front stage, so that's 75x4 or 250x2, and 125x2. If I were to go 2-way I would run the horns off of the 400.2 at 125x2 and the mid/midbass off of the 500.4 at 250x2. The sub will be a 15" Avalanche off of a 1200.1 run at 1 ohm. Any suggestions (besides the ones already mentioned) for a 6.5-8" mid to go in the door of an '84 Supra? These doors are thin so mounting depth is critical, they will play from around 60 Hz to somewhere around 900 Hz (which I won't know for sure until I play with crossover points). I was considering the nd8i's for their mounting depth and high sensitivity. Anything else? Thanks in advance.

Dude I may be a new member here, but come on. A jewish slang term??

If someone used the 'n' word or said some other ethnic things it would be just as wrong.

Have a little class....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif
