hockey is a regional sport. hockey is pretty big in detroit but i can't see it going over well down sout or out in california.

well as far as im concerned...carolina dosent deserve a hockey team...i went down there last year for a sabre playoff game....and their fans are so lame..they dont cheer or anything..up here in buffalo...the sabres are life

its on its way to becoming popular again...give it a cople more years to gain tv contracts. and teams like the penguins to sort out and i gurrantee you itll be mainstream....the cap was the best thing to hit the nhl

yeah but there needs to be a way for people to learn the rules easier... most people i talk to who dont watch it say they dont know or understand the rules

i'd like to see the nhl go to 4-on-4 and use olympic style rinks. make it much more wide open

i hate all the dump and chase. that's why the red wings were always fun to watch. with 4 skaters and i wider rink, that would open things up a lot. also move the blue lines out a little farther to decrease off-sides
