Next setup...need your opinions again :)

Sold my system once again... 06 L7 w/ Orion 8002.

I have no more than 3cf to work with.

Looking to spend around $700...maybe $800 MAX on sub(s) and amp.

I've gone thru 15SX , two kv12's, and a custom (tc9).

I'm looking to get as loud as I can and keep decent quality.

What are your opinions?

What I was thinking was...JL 12w6 / 500-1 (or other amp) .... maybe used off the forums.

Or maybe two 10w6's.

But then again, I don't know much and every setup I've had...I was helped by someone on here.

that w6 and 600 watts wont be louder then the l7 setup....thats pretty much a given......

u shuda just stayed wt the l7

y not get type r's....and a 2500d...it would be had for about 800

Well I had to sell the L7...needed the cash.

Getting another L7 is NOT out of the question. Just don't know what to do yet.

I don't really like the Type R's because of all the hype about them....But maybe I might try them out. What numbers are you putting up with your setup? And how much space is it takin up?

if you want it to sound nice, get some Focals

the 12's run 300$ a pop at car toys, and they are one of the cleanest sounding subs.

rms for them is like 400. Might be a little expensive with the amp though.

Well I would prefer loudness over "clean-ness" because to my ears it still sounds clear to me. I like to feel it more than hear it.

Never heard the W3's before. Only heard the W6 and was pretty nice to my ears.

Can you give me a link to the SI subs? I'm not too familiar with the "un-popular" brands....still trying to learn a bit. Part of the reason I keep switching setups...Wanna hear the differences

12in Mag's are 450$ a pop lol

W6's are nice, but they're also around 400$

im puttin up mid 140's wt a 5 cube box....at low low notes....they are THE budget sub

maybe you might want to check out the AudioQue HD3 line of subwoofers.... the HD315 is an excellent subwoofer and is at an excellent price. i highly suggest picking up one.
