****... I'm lovin Comcast right now. I'm downloading 2 gigs of lossless music off of newsgroups at 1.5MB/sec... yah... like 1500/kb sec. That's OVER T1 speeds.

I just moved and got to ditch my 150k downstream DSL... it's renewed my interest in downloading. Of course 1/2 of it is the newsgroup connection. No crappy P2P downloads of MP3's at 128kbit... **** that, it's lossless compression for me.

I'm using Newshosting, same diff though... it's FAAAASSSTTT!

plus I'm paying 19.99/month for 6 months on the cable connection...!!

i also have comcast, well it was suscom around here then comcast bought them out.. ive been getting aroudn 2.4 gigs a sec for months, we just upgraded cable lines of some sort around here so ive been getting that ever since...

the winxp tweak that allows you to open more incomming / outgoing connections to 50 + torrents > your news group

umm they can max just about ANY connection... if you don't know that newsgroups are faster you don't know much about them...

And no we aren't talking about the "free" newsgroup service you get with your ISP...
