Newer RE Audio amps?

Ive just recently noticed these RE amps online and i cant find any reviews or info on them. There pretty inexpensive for what there rated at it seems. Im guessing there probably overrated but im not positive. Does anyone here have experience with them or know anything about them, either good or bad? The one in particular that i was looking at was the XT1600.4v2.

They're US Amps' Xterminator series in a new heatsink. Nothing really new about them other than that. At least that's how it was explained to me...

Thats what i figured. Are they worth looking at for the price or probably not? Ive been looking for a 100x4 amp and it caught my eye but seemed very cheap.Whats the work on the xterminators? Close to rated power?

Anything else you would like to add? Maybe details? Obviously the merlin is a better amp. It costs 3 times as much. Im just wondering how the lower line is "for the money"

heard they ****. sorry i can't be more specific. when i was shopping around i looked at those too and everyone said to steer clear and go with md series.

I haven't actually used an XTV2, but I do have experience with the older Xterminator series. If they truly are the same amp in a different casing, you can do better.

well what can u tell me about the older version? what didnt u like about it? or is it just grossly overrated? For $205 brand new, what would you consider as better?

the RE's are US amps from asia that's why they are sooo cheap as far a quality goes they are from asia so i wouldn't expect much

If by rated power you mean what is on the case = No, they are fairly close to there printed specs

The 4000 is not 4000wrms if you read the fine print so to speak they are rated 1500wrms @ 1ohm, looking at the RE series you need to go by what is printed, most shops will tell you , some of the shady net dealers are like look 4000 watts US amps/RE cheap buy me!

The old XT amps sucked plain and simple, The XT4000 did around 800rms@1ohm or something silly like that..Do a search you will fine tons of info on them when they came out, and how people where pissed
