Newegg makes me sad

I have been shopping at Newegg for a very long time. Never had a prob and their CS is always great when needed. 2 years ago I bought a 28" Viewsonic Monitor, which has a 3 year manuf warranty. It quit working last week so I contacted Viewsonic. After looking the serial up in their system, they told me it wasn't under warranty because it has been refurbished already. I contacted Newegg today to inquire about why my new monitor was actually a refurb, the CSR couldn't really tell me anything except that she was sending it to a supervisor to be investigated and that the supervisor would email me. I haven't received an email yet, but has anyone had this happen to them with newegg before? And how did it go?

Kinda ****** because 2 years ago a 28" monitor with 1920x1200 resolution was like $450. I'm gonna be real upset if they don't somehow replace this thing with another 28" LCD Monitor.

If you bought it with Newegg advertising a 3 year warranty its Newegg's responsibility to honor the warranty now that Viewsonic told you they wont.

Thats what I'm thinking, it's def on them, I'm just hoping they handle it the right way. I didn't make my post to slander them in any way, they have always been good to me, was just wondering if it had happened to anyone else. Honestly, when I got the monitor it was factory packaged and looked brand new. For all I know it's an error in Viewsonics system.

if you still got all your paperwork. And if newegg said it was new or gave no indication it was a refurb. you have good grounds for a lawsuit

I love the thing, but it's no good if I got to hit the power button 500 times to get it to come on. I don't even turn it off or let it sleep anymore because if I do it takes me 10 mins to get it to come on. When you hit the power button the right side of the screen flashes like 5 times and thats it.
