Yeah bascially i don't know anything about car audio this is like a whole new language to me so try and bare with me. I want two 12 inch subs, amp so all i need is for you guys to give me the best, realiable, cheapest, kind of subs & amps. Plus i would also need help with the amp because if you guys give me a nice pair of subs i would need what kind of amp to go along with that ahha. All i want is my subs not to be so loud that it distorts my music and stuff so any advice would help. Thanks

If i where you i would use the search function and do a little research then maybe post your thoughts on what you might buy. Search sound quailty subs maybe then after you find out what you might want do a search for an amp in that range.

As far as i've read most of this is just peoples opinions on their favorite brand ect. Don't get me wrong some brands are alot better dollar for dollar. The brands that are discussed most on this board or that are being recommended the most are all great im sure.

Post the max you can spend and what kind of electrical upgrades you are willing to do and What kind of car you are working with. What kind of music. How handy are you? A little woodworking experience maybe? etc.

Alright so basically i'm going to get a 2002 jeep grand cherokee, i listen to mainly rap but a little rock here and there. Handy wise i'm not at all and little woodworking experience but i have friends who do that so. Max spending wise is about 800 thats for 2 12's and an amp, thats like really huge max though id rather stay with 600 but ill do 800. Electrical upgrades i don't know i kinda want to keep it simple and just have a couple of subs that bang hard but doesnt mess around with my electrical and make my battery die. All i really need from you guys is some help, what kind of subs are cheap and reliable then what kind of amp would go along with the subs.

if i were u i would run two 12" type r's and a sundown saz1500.plus a zero gauge amp kit.will keep u well under 800.u can get the subs for around $250 for both and the amp around 300 on here used.amp is one of the best u can get.then u wouldnt need any electric upgrades.

I can do you a decent setup for 2 12" Almani's each in an Almani custom made slot port box (each sub has its own box) dvc4 ohm subs (500 rms each ) for for about 125 each shipped. and a good hifonics 1200 rms mono class d amp for about 240 so for 490 youd get it all new with 1 yr authorized warranty and not have to worry about a box. or electrical issues. you can get a good 4 guage kit for about 30$ from knukonceptz.com or I can do a 1 guage for about 70 shipped.

yeah that looks good but i like just one big encasement with both subs in there and then an amp near it. But my only concern with your guy's suggestions is that my concern is sound quality, i want the subs to bang hard but i definitely dont want it to distort the music im listening to.
