Newb Question -

I'm very new to this so I'm not sure if this is posted in the right place - 

My car audio (stock from Toyota) sounds ok for the most part; since I'm going to be trading the car within a year so I'm not going to do much to it.

My issue is whenever I connect my phone (Samsung S8) via either bluetooth or Aux cable) I have to crank the volume WAY up to hear it, and the sound sucks.

Is there any kind of component (amp or ?) I can add between the phone & the aux port to boost the volume?

Just about every Stock HU and even after market HU BT for phone and even Aux sounds pretty muddy at times, and not as clean as one would expect. Ive had better luck using a BT earpiece device while driving

Is your phone volume all the way up when you connect it via bt or aux?

Yes, I make sure the phone is at max volume, still have to crank the volume on the HU very high just to hear it.

Is the car under warranty or a lease? Sounds like a setting isnt right or defective headunit. I've never had a problem with bt on newer vehicles, even crappy fleet vehicles and commercial vehicles like Promaster vans and Transits
