i just bought a slot ported box from my local shop for my 10w6v2 . How would i know what its tuned to? and whats the best box for my sub. ported or sealed. Im powering this sub @2ohms off a kenwood 8101d @ 400 watts . also what should i set my gain to?

go to jlaudio.com, click the tutorials link, then find the gain setting tutorial. if you want help with calculating your box's tuning frequency and volume, post the port width, the port height, the wood thickness, your external dimensions. measure the length of the inner port wall, the length port extension (the part the makes the the port an "L" shape, you will likely need to take the sub out to measure this). After posting all these values, people on this forum, including myself, will gladly help.
