Newb needs help...

Well, i know nothing about car audio, absolutley nothing.

And i know, i know, reading is my friend and all, but im on a bit of a time crunch. Im picking up my car tomorrow, and want to have decent system in it beofre my road trip. It already has a CD player, But the sounds absolutley suks.

Im looking to spend about $300. 500 max.

Im not sure if the type of music being played matters, but i listen to mostly metal and rap. Im guessing i need speakers, and amp and a sub?

Is that all?

Im definetly willing to go used, but have no idea what i should be looking for.

well you can buy a nice head unit for that price unit, head to sonicelectronix.com check out there stereo's... good prices !..save sum more for amp and subs come back..we'll direct you the rite way....dont buy walmart or meijer sh!t period
