New (well, rebuilt with new components) alt for christmas...

Since I screwed up 2 alts, I have one screwed up one runnin my car for now, and one that I have in my room, just sittin on a shelf. Well, somehow my parents took it in and had it completely rebuilt with new componets and to higher amperage, 150-160 AMP. Well, they had it back in the same day (that was like 2 weeks ago), and put it right back where it was, thinking that I wouldnt be suspicious as long as it was there, so I didnt think they took it or did anything with it. Well, today, 2 weeks later, I go over by it, and my eye falls on my alt. I wouldnt have noticed, except the plastic cover thing was broke off on the origianal, and today, it was on there. So then I got to lookin at it, and it had a sticker from the local guy here who did it. So then I knew. I told my mom that I just found their christmas present. haha. I cant use it till christmas, but its still all good.

That is an excellent present, Qtip.

Closest I got to that was when I went to have my alternator rebuilt by my buddy who does such things Dad followed me to the alternator shop where the work was to be done. Ended up being unecessary as my buddy told me he'd be finished in under an hour including removal and reinstallation of the alternator.
