i got both of the hitachi's at the Lowes power tools sale a few weeks back...

i think the saw was $165 and the router was $155 or something like that...

Freud saw was $45 from amazon - $30 for amazon card //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif ain't I a cheap bastard //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

so alittle over 3 bills...not too bad considering regular price would have been about 4 bills...

When I read "Virgin" tools, a cordless drill was the last thing on my dirty mind!

looks good, but I'm not digging that table saw. Looks cheaply made, but for small projects, I would think it would be fine.
for $16X i'm not complaining...i honestly think it gives a great value for the money...the portability is pretty nice, theres a bunch of little things like the light for the saw, etc....

if you want something thats really nice, you'd end up spending $400+ i think...

like that bosch 4000-09, always top rated but at a price of over $500, thats 3x the cost of this lil guy...$160 something is a tad more then your usuall delta $99 model at menards/fleetfarm, etc...and i think its way better...

so do you think you can find a better one for $160 something?

I, myself, I would of went with the Ryobi Model BTS15 @ Home Depot for $ 167.00.

About a month ago, HD had this same TS for sale @ $ 129.00 and I should of bought the d@mn thing as a secondary TS for cutting smaller parts.

yeah i was eyeing that one as well...seemed like a great starter ts...if i saw it on sale, i probably would have picked it up for that $129 as well...

too bad the nearest hd wasn't convenient for me...35 min drive...

i figure this wouldn't be that bad of a deal since its on sale...

Hey, ya take the deals where ya can grab them from.

Also, if you want to increase the cutting width, you could built a table around that saw and use a straight edge guide for fence.

Now you need to build a box with complex angles, flush mount, tapers, and anything else i can't think of.
you daym straight i will //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

if my 9510 doesn't sell, i'm gonna made a 2.2 @ 38 for that...

a good budy of mine on here SPLV wants me to help him make two separate boxes for his TC1000 8's for his MR2 turbo...

another buddy wants me to make him a box for 2 TC1K 12's for his SE-R, and i'm gonna build a box for another buddy's MKIII supra turbo for 2 12's...

so it should be a busy season...i'll probably build something sickning for my two SD208's as well...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

i just might try that curved slot port with the wood bending technique...double //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

That saw is the best overall saw we sell.

I work at Lowe's and have tried several of them.

I use that saw as well. It's rip capacity is over 20"
