My dual chamber sealed enclosure has just as many if not more screws than that. I don't think you should rely only on glue to hold a box together.

The MDF itself will break before the glue will.

NP man! Like I said your system is nice and clean looking. There is no reason for someone hating on it. But you will get "haters" in fourms because they think they know all and have the best euipment. I mean to be honest who cares what that idiot thinks. there are just little things on it nothing that makes it bad i actually think its unique in the fact that its not a true false wall...more like trim lol. on forums peopl get jealous and hate on stuff thats what 80% of the critiques end up being.

Beautiful rough construction !! You build your enclosures just like I do .... TONS of screws , TONS of clamps ....... Add great adhesives and great internal bracing and you will ALWAYS have the base for awesome sound ! Kudos Bro !

Oh don't mind him, he's the CA. com village idiot. He has fun stirring the pot. I like your install and so do you but NO install is a "final" install. You're always going to find things you want to improve on and change as your tastes change. So just enjoy what you have til YOU feel like making changes.

Hey, how did you feel switching from the RE RE comps to the Alpine Type R comps?

aliphatic resin(wood glue) is stronger than wood itself, and seeps into the woods surface, making a way stronger bond than any screw. i build high power model rockets and thats what i use to flush mount fins to the airframe...some of these things travel at over 700mph, just to give you an idea, and the glue is the absolute only thing holding it in place.

BTW, looks nice and clean, if this is your first custom install, it came out real good, only thing is the crossovers, i'd definately have those babies up front. but other than that...looks good...

Do you really think that makes a difference?? Unless you're mounting the amp thats powering the speakers up front by the speakers then it makes NO difference. You are either going to make a long run from the amp to the crossovers or a long run from the crossovers to the drivers. Same difference.

Me. I have alot of shit to lug around. Thats why I put my sub up front and just have the amp rack in the trunk.
