I built the 10". Sounded pretty good for running a high quality low end Bazooka sub off around 150-180 WRMSwith an rl-p 12 and 600 phoenix gold xennon watts i love it.accurate and loud!
As I already stated, I know I went a lil overboard with the screws, however, its not like they are 2 inches apart or anythingGive me money for a digi and i would.
Screws just hold the box together while the glue dries. They give very little to the sturdyness of the box.
Someone went overboard.
Why? Glue is stronger. Some don't use screws at ALL, they use clamps. Whatever floats your boat I guess. My dual chamber sealed enclosure has just as many if not more screws than that. I don't think you should rely only on glue to hold a box together.
Yeah, the screws really arent doing all that much structurally. They just make sure the boards are flush and tight while the glue is drying...Why? Glue is stronger. Some don't use screws at ALL, they use clamps. Whatever floats your boat I guess.
